How to Copy and Paste the Invisible Emoji (Any Device)
There are two different things people mean when they ask for the "invisible emoji": the visible-but-faint 🫥 character, and truly blank Unicode characters that render as empty space. This guide covers copying both, on every major platform.
The fastest method: copy directly from this site
Every emoji card on Emoji Invisible has a Copy button. Tap it once and the character is placed on your clipboard immediately — no keyboard switching, no special app required. You can then paste it into any text field the same way you'd paste normal text.
On iPhone and iPad
Long-press inside any text field to bring up the paste menu, or use the standard two-finger pinch-to-paste gesture in apps that support it. If a character does not appear after pasting, the app you're using may not render that specific Unicode code point; try 🫥 instead of a fully blank character, since it has broader emoji-font support.
On Android
Tap and hold the text field until the paste option appears above your keyboard. Most Android keyboards (Gboard, Samsung Keyboard) support pasting Unicode characters copied from a browser without any extra steps.
On Windows and macOS
Copy the character from this page, then use Ctrl+V (Windows) or Cmd+V (macOS) inside any application. If you plan to reuse the same character often, most operating systems let you save it as a text replacement shortcut so you don't need to revisit this page each time.
Why some blank characters get stripped out
Many apps automatically trim leading and trailing whitespace when you save a bio, username, or form field. Genuinely blank Unicode characters can be caught by this trimming because some systems treat them like ordinary spaces. Placing the character between two visible characters, rather than at the very start or end of a field, usually prevents it from being removed.
If a character shows as a box or question mark
That means the font being used by your device or app does not have a glyph for that specific code point. Try a different character from our Unicode and shortcode reference, or stick with 🫥, which is supported far more consistently across devices.
